Writer’s Digest Conference is nearing. The Pitch Slam offers a rare opportunity to pitch your book directly to professional agents and editors actively looking for new voices. You pitch your book in a high-energy environment.
Begin it all begins you will be given an opportunity to look over the list of active agents and editors so that you can customize your pitch based on what they are looking for to ensure you have the best opportunity to succeed.
“On the day of the event, you’ll meet one-on-one with as many of your preferred agents and editors as possible in your assigned 60-minute pitch session. Each pitch typically lasts three minutes, composed of your 90-second pitch and a 90-second response from the agent/editor with feedback. Occasionally, conversations will extend longer than 3 minutes so be sure to prioritize your list and keep an eye on the line for your next prospect.”
The event is virtual so you do not have to worry about traveling during these uncertain times. This year’s event will be held November 5-7, 2020. So, get ready the games have begun.
