Candeedo Brewdinkle

Candeedo, a retired cipher decoder, wants nothing more than to spend his golden years in Killian Cove, solving puzzles and enjoying the company of his sharp-witted Sphynx cat, Bartholomew, but life has other plans.

At the start of the series, a routine visit to the local bookstore takes a deadly turn when Candeedo stumbles upon a corpse. To make matters worse, the book he intended to purchase lies face down beside the body—its bookmark missing, and the store’s owner, Norman, nowhere to be found.

Now, with curiosity piqued and danger lurking, Candeedo and Bartholomew must untangle the mystery before it upends their quiet life for good.
